The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 Bend 90 degrees PE100 SDR17 is an engineered pre-insulated spigot fitting designed for direction changes in industrial cooling circuits, secondary refrigeration infrastructure, and chilled water process networks. Manufactured with an inner core of premium PE100 polyethylene in SDR17, the component reliably accommodates nominal working pressures up to 10 bar across an operational media temperature range spanning from minus 50 degrees Celsius up to plus 60 degrees Celsius. Surrounding the carrier pipe, high-efficiency factory-applied GF HE foam delivers thermal resistance with a thermal conductivity rating equal to or less than 0.026 W/mK at 20 degrees Celsius. This rigid, closed-cell insulation structure prevents vapor intrusion and completely eliminates condensation risks, guarding refrigeration infrastructure against thermal loss and ambient heat gain without requiring external post-insulation. The exterior impact-resistant black outer protective casing provides comprehensive resistance against weathering, mechanical wear, and ultraviolet radiation, establishing long-term durability across indoor plant rooms and exposed outdoor installations. Operating as a Type B spigot fitting with smooth calibrated ends, the component interfaces into pre-insulated piping runs using electrofusion couplers to create fully homogeneous, leak-tight joints capable of absorbing system dynamics. The lightweight thermoplastic construction offers significant handling benefits over conventional insulated steel assemblies, lowering dead-weight structural loads on support brackets while preventing interior incrustation, scaling, and corrosion over a 25-year design service life.
