The Type 038 DA Lug-style butterfly valve provides dependable bi-directional shut-off and throttling automation across industrial process lines, water treatment plants, and distribution networks. Configured for in-line service and dead-end isolation without downstream flanges, this assembly integrates a double-acting pneumatic actuator from the PA series. Matched to the valve torque profile through a DIN EN ISO 5211 interface, the pneumatic unit delivers responsive, symmetrical cycle times under continuous plant operation.

Engineered for demanding industrial conditions, the valve body is cast from GGG40 ductile iron (EN-JIS 1020) and encapsulated in a high-integrity Rilsan coating. This thermoplastic polyamide barrier delivers exceptional resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and weathering, preserving the pressure-retaining casting. Flow isolation is achieved via an uncoated 1.4408 stainless steel disc, offering broad chemical compatibility with neutral and industrial media while maintaining smooth hydrodynamic flow with low pressure drop.

Drive torque is transferred through a one-piece stem machined from DIN 1.4021 stainless steel with a square drive profile. This one-piece design eliminates hysteresis and pin-shearing risks, ensuring rigid alignment throughout full-stroke actuation. Face-to-face dimensions conform to EN 558 row 20, allowing direct replacement in established piping layouts. The Lug body geometry features threaded bolt lugs compatible with counter-flanges drilled to PN6, PN10, and ANSI 125/150 across sizes DN50 to DN300 (d63–d315 mm).

Rated for working pressures up to PN10 (10 bar), the Type 038 DA valve adapts to process media via elastomer liner options, including standard EPDM, certified EPDM DVGW for drinking water, and hydrocarbon-resistant NBR. The liner wraps around the ductile iron body to form an integral flange seal, eliminating separate sheet gaskets during installation and keeping fluids fully isolated from the metal casing.
