The Georg Fischer Type 546 Pro pneumatic ABS ball valve is an industrial automated isolation unit engineered for process lines, chilled water loops, and water treatment systems. Fitted with a single-acting PPA pneumatic actuator in fail-safe to open (FO) configuration, the valve automatically drives the ball to full open upon loss of pilot air pressure. Operating across metric pipe sizes from d16 (DN10) up to d110 (DN100) at nominal pressure PN10 (20 degrees Celsius), the valve utilizes ISO solvent cement sockets for jointing in ABS industrial pipe networks.

Actuation is delivered by a robust pneumatic actuator housed in glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) for exceptional resistance against corrosive plant environments. Configured for 5.6 bar control air pressure, the PPA actuator features an integrated NAMUR interface (VDI/VDE 3845) that accepts direct mounting of feedback limit switch boxes, electro-pneumatic positioners, or pilot solenoid valves without auxiliary brackets. An optical position indicator gives technicians clear visual confirmation of open and closed valve positions.

Manufactured from high-grade ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), the valve body combines high impact resistance with excellent performance in low-temperature chilled water and cooling installations. The internal flow geometry incorporates low-friction PTFE ball seating to minimize operating torque and eliminate sticking after long idle periods. Resilient EPDM seals provide bi-directional shut-off tightness. Integrated stainless steel threaded inserts in the base ensure rigid, vibration-resistant mounting on standard pipe supports.

The Type 546 Pro retains identical z-dimensions, end connectors, and union nuts as first-generation Type 546 assemblies, allowing direct drop-in replacement without altering piping layouts.
