The Georg Fischer Type 546 Pro ABS ball valve is an engineered shut-off valve for industrial water treatment, chilled water loops, cooling circuits and process distribution networks. It is rated PN10 (10 bar) at 20 degrees Celsius across the full range from DN10 (d16) to DN100 (d110), combining the impact resistance and low-temperature ductility of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene with high chemical inertness. The standard assembly pairs an ABS body in RAL 7001 gravel grey with low-friction PTFE ball seats and EPDM elastomer seals, giving bi-directional isolation and zero-leakage shut-off under continuous industrial duty.

The Type 546 Pro keeps the face-to-face z-dimensions, union ends and threaded union nuts of the previous Type 546 generation, so it drops directly into existing lines without modifying the pipework. Stainless steel threaded inserts, M6 to M12 depending on nominal diameter, sit on the valve base and provide rigid anchoring points for pipe supports or actuation brackets without stressing the thermoplastic envelope. The ergonomic hand lever carries an integrated locking mechanism that prevents accidental operation or unauthorised adjustment on critical utility and process lines.

Modularity defines the architecture: the valve converts from manual to automated control in the field, accepting Georg Fischer pneumatic or electric actuators without removing the body from the pipe run. Further modules include spring-return safety levers for DN10 to DN25, optical and electronic position feedback interfaces, and multifunctional limit switches.
