Butt fusion PVDF reducer SYGEF Standard SDR33 PN10 d90-225mm

  Datasheet (PDF)

The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard reducer SDR33 d90-225mm PVDF is a high-integrity thermoplastic fitting engineered for concentric diameter transitions within critical industrial piping systems conveying aggressive chemicals or high-purity media. Manufactured from unpigmented, opaque polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this component delivers exceptional chemical resistance against strong oxidizing acids, salts, halogens, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and solvents across an operational temperature range from -20 degrees C to 140 degrees C. Configured in an SDR33 wall ratio for a nominal pressure class of PN10 (10 bar at 20 degrees C), this fitting offers robust mechanical rigidity, maintaining a tensile elasticity modulus of at least 1800 N/mm2 and a yield stress exceeding 48 N/mm2 at ambient temperature.

Precision-engineered with spigot ends conforming geometrically to ISO 10931, the reducer integrates reliably into butt fusion welding lines per DVS 2207-15, as well as infrared automated welding setups (IR Plus per DVS 2207-6). The controlled inner surface roughness of Ra less than or equal to 0.5 micrometres ensures superior hydraulic flow rates, drastically minimizing flow turbulence and preventing particulate deposition or bacterial buildup. The fitting withstands rigorous sanitisation procedures, including continuous steam sterilisation, hot water cycling, ozone treatment, and concentrated chemical washdowns without micro-cracking or structural degradation.

As an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, BigWeld supplies the complete SYGEF piping range across European industrial facilities. This PVDF fitting complies with major hygiene and safety standards, including FDA 21 CFR 177.2510, EU 10/2011, USP 25 Class VI physiological non-toxicity, ASME BPE, and FM-4910 flammability listing for cleanroom environments. It is extensively deployed in pharmaceutical purified water (PW) distribution, deionized (DI) water loops, chemical processing, semiconductor support systems, and acid dosing installations where metallic alloys suffer premature failure.
