Manufactured by Georg Fischer for demanding high-purity and ultra-clean fluid management, the SYGEF Plus DIASTAR Ten FO diaphragm valve provides pneumatically actuated flow control across metric piping networks from d20 to d63 mm. Constructed from unpigmented, virgin high-purity polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF-HP), the valve body exhibits outstanding chemical inertness, high thermal stability from -20 degrees to 140 degrees Celsius, and resistance to sanitisation processes involving steam, hot water, ozone, and aggressive media. Operating on a fail-safe-to-open (FO) pneumatic mechanism, the integrated actuator utilizes compressed air to shut off flow against one-sided line pressure up to 10 bar, returning automatically to the open position upon loss of control pressure. The actuator features a versatile pneumatic connection interface configurable with 90-degree rotational positioning for flexible air line routing in tight cleanroom plant envelopes. Engineered to double the flow capacity compared to preceding valve generations, the optimized flow geometry minimizes pressure losses while preventing medium stagnation. Maintenance and assembly are greatly streamlined via a central housing nut mechanism that replaces the conventional four-screw bonnet assembly, ensuring uniform diaphragm clamping force and preventing localized stress concentrations. Sealing integrity is achieved through high-grade PTFE/EPDM or PTFE/FKM diaphragm configurations paired with high-purity white FKM backing rings, meeting stringent physiological non-toxicity standards including FDA 21 CFR, USP Class VI, ASME BPE, and SEMI F57 cleanroom criteria. The spigot ends are fully compatible with bead and crevice-free (BCF Plus) as well as infrared (IR Plus) butt fusion jointing technologies, preventing particle entrapment in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and ultrapure water (UPW) distribution systems.
