PVDF Diaphragm valve type 514

  Datasheet (PDF)

Georg Fischer SYGEF Plus Diaphragm Valve Type 514 provides high-precision flow control and hermetic isolation in high-purity and ultrapure water distribution networks. Engineered specifically for demanding semiconductor, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical installations, the valve features a body manufactured from high-purity unpigmented polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF-HP) with metric butt fusion spigots compatible with Bead and Crevice Free (BCF Plus) and infrared (IR Plus) jointing technologies. The valve incorporates an optimized internal geometry that delivers up to double the flow rate of predecessor generations while minimizing overall turbulence and pressure drops across the seat. System maintenance and pipe installation are simplified through a single central housing nut design that replaces traditional four-bolt configurations, ensuring uniform compression on the diaphragm seal and facilitating rapid disassembly without removing the valve body from the pipeline. Fluid shut-off and modulation are actuated via an ergonomic handwheel equipped with an integrated locking mechanism to prevent accidental adjustment or tampering during critical process cycles. Sealing integrity is provided by an advanced PTFE diaphragm supported by an elastomeric backing (EPDM or FKM) and white FKM internal O-rings, ensuring non-contaminating, physiologically safe fluid contact compliant with FDA CFR 21 177.2510, USP 25 Class VI, ASME BPE, and SEMI F57 standards. Designed for continuous operating temperatures from -20 degrees C to +140 degrees C and system pressures up to 16 bar for high-purity water media, each component is injection molded, cleaned with 18 megaohm pure water, and double-bagged under cleanroom ISO Class 5 (Class 100) conditions to preserve surface quality (Ra <= 0.2 micrometers) and ensure absolute traceability back to the raw material polymer batch.
