ELGEF Plus Elbow 90 degrees is a PE100 spigot fitting manufactured by Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) for direction changes in buried and exposed polyethylene pressure mains. Both outlets are plain spigot ends, so the elbow can be jointed with electrofusion couplers (EF) or welded directly by butt fusion (BF) to pipe of the same diameter and wall thickness — one fitting covers both jointing methods on site, and the welded joint keeps the full bore and the monolithic character of the HDPE network.

In SDR11 the range runs from d20 to d315mm (DN15 to DN300), with wall thickness from 3.0 to 28.6mm, z dimension from 75 to 370mm and spigot length L from 52 to 150mm. Pressure rating is PN16 bar on water and PN10 bar on gas, and sizes d90 to d315mm are additionally FM 1613 approved at 15 bar. Where the pipeline is designed in a lighter series, the same 90 degree geometry is available in SDR17 from d90 to d315mm (DN80 to DN300), with wall 5.4 to 18.7mm, z 150 to 370mm and L 81 to 150mm, rated PN10 bar on water and PN5 bar on gas. The SDR of the fitting must always match the SDR of the pipe it is welded to.
