The ELGEF Plus 45 degree elbow from Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) is a spigot-ended PE100 fitting used to set a 45 degree direction change in pressurised polyethylene pipelines. The range covers d20 to d315, equivalent to DN15 to DN300, in SDR11 rated at 16 bar for water and 10 bar for gas, while Ø160, Ø180 and Ø200 are also offered in SDR17 for 10 bar water and 5 bar gas duty. Sizes d90 to d315 additionally carry FM 1613 approval at 15 bar.

Wall thickness in SDR11 runs from 3.0 mm at d20 to 28.6 mm at d315, with z dimensions between 70 and 250 mm, leg lengths L of 52 to 150 mm and an overall length of up to 538 mm on the largest size. The SDR17 versions are supplied in the d90 to d315 band, with walls of 5.4 to 18.7 mm, z between 120 and 250 mm and L of 81 to 150 mm. Both spigot ends accept electrofusion couplers or conventional butt fusion equipment, so the elbow can be welded into an existing line without mechanical adapters.

The fitting is produced from virgin PE100 resin approved by the PE100+ Association, which supports a design lifetime exceeding 100 years under nominal operating conditions. Electrofusion joining forms a fully homogeneous, monolithic weld zone that carries the same pressure as the adjoining pipe, with no elastomeric seals to age. Every fitting complies with EN 12201 and EN 1555 and remains traceable through the Georg Fischer Track & Trace system.
