Check valve PROGEF 562 PP-H Rp PN10

  Datasheet (PDF)

The Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard Type 562 check valve is an engineered thermoplastic non-return valve manufactured from high-grade beta polypropylene homopolymer (beta-PP-H). Specifically designed for aggressive chemical distribution, industrial water treatment, and demanding process piping systems, this spring-loaded non-return valve reliably prevents backflow across horizontal and vertical pipe runs. It incorporates parallel female Rp threaded sockets in accordance with EN ISO 16137 and features a true double union construction that simplifies mechanical installation, radial demounting, and routine maintenance without dismantling adjacent piping sections.

Internally, the Type 562 non-return valve incorporates a flow-optimized, double-guided closing cone mechanism energized by an acid-resistant V2A stainless steel spring (material 1.4310). This spring mechanism provides positive, chatter-free closure and vibration-free operation even under elevated fluid velocities or fluctuating system dynamics. Because the cone is permanently spring-assisted, the valve achieves complete leak-tight shutoff in closed or idle states without depending on static hydrostatic head or backpressure from the downstream fluid column.

Engineered to satisfy rigorous industrial standards, the PROGEF Type 562 check valve carries a nominal pressure rating of PN10 (SDR 9) at 20 degrees Celsius. Available with high-grade elastomeric seals in either EPDM or FKM, the assembly provides chemical compatibility across acids, alkalis, and industrial effluents while preventing corrosion associated with traditional metallic check valves. As an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, BigWeld supplies authentic PROGEF components manufactured to exacting European dimensional and mechanical tolerances, delivering a projected design life of 25 years under standard operating conditions.
