The Georg Fischer Type 565 PE wafer butterfly valve is an industrial intermediate-installation valve engineered for high-capacity flow control in large-diameter piping systems. Available in dimensions D355 mm and D400 mm, this PN10 rated valve features a bare shaft configuration designed for industrial water treatment, municipal drinking water, cooling systems, and seawater processing. Equipped with an ISO 5211 size F14 top flange connection, the bare shaft enables direct mounting of electric or pneumatic actuators and manual gearboxes without intermediate brackets. An elastomeric EPDM liner provides bi-directional bubble-tight sealing up to 10 bar working pressure while simultaneously acting as the flange face seal, eliminating the requirement for separate flat gaskets during installation between flanges.
The Type 565 PE complies with face-to-face dimensions according to EN 558 row 20 and ISO 5752, ensuring direct interchangeability with legacy cast iron valves. Its all-plastic construction delivers significant weight reductions, lowering handling overhead and simplifying pipe alignment. The valve is fully compatible with Georg Fischer ecoFIT, PROGEF, COOL-FIT, ABS, and PVC piping systems, preventing galvanic corrosion, pitting, and scale formation throughout demanding industrial lifecycles.
