The Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard type 543 Pro P is an industrial-grade pneumatically actuated 3-way ball valve designed for demanding mixing, diverting, and distribution processes in chemical distribution, industrial water treatment, and effluent handling systems. Manufactured from high-grade beta polypropylene homopolymer (beta-PP-H), this valve ensures outstanding resistance against aggressive chemicals, acids, and elevated media temperatures. Configured with a horizontal T-port ball design and premium PTFE seats, it enables reliable flow direction management with zero internal leakage, conforming to ISO 9393-2 and EN 12266 leak rate A testing standards.
Automated actuation is delivered by a robust double-acting (DA) pneumatic actuator housed in flame-retardant glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF). Operating at a standard control air pressure of 5.6 bar, the actuator provides swift and precise quarter-turn cycling, executing a 90 degrees rotation within 1 to 2 seconds. The actuator incorporates an integrated optical position indicator for clear visual status verification and features a standardized NAMUR interface according to VDI/VDE 3845 for seamless direct mounting of solenoid valves, positioners, or limit switch boxes. Integrated stainless steel inserts in the valve body ensure rigid, vibration-resistant mounting into plant racks and automated skids.
Pipe integration is accomplished via SDR11 metric butt fusion spigots, engineered for conventional butt fusion machines and high-precision infrared (IR-Plus) contactless welding. Rated for a nominal operating pressure of 10 bar (PN10) across sizes from d20 mm to d63 mm, this unit offers dependable continuous operation throughout an estimated 25-year design life at 20 degrees Celsius. Available with durable EPDM or high-performance FKM elastomeric backing seals, the PROGEF type 543 Pro P provides chemical processing facilities with a fully automated, low-maintenance thermoplastic flow solution.
