P-70 Primer

Weld-On® P-70™ is an industrial-grade, fast-acting solvent primer engineered for the preparation of rigid PVC and CPVC pipe and fitting surfaces prior to solvent cement application. Specially formulated for Schedule 80 (PN 10 and higher) and large-diameter pipe systems, P-70™ chemically softens and dissolves joining surfaces to ensure optimal solvent cement bonding. Water-thin viscosity (specific gravity: 0.858 ± 0.04) ensures deep surface penetration. Ultra-low VOC formulation at 452 g/L meets SCAQMD Rule 1168/316A. Certified to ASTM F656, NSF/ANSI 14 & 61 for potable water (PW), DWV, and SW systems. GreenGuard Gold certified and LEED® IEQ Credit 4.1 eligible. Purple variant additionally carries IAPMO UPC certification. Shelf life: 3 years. Storage: 5°C–43°C. Not suitable for compressed air/gas systems or flue gas ventilation applications.
