The Georg Fischer Type 310 PVC-C installation fitting is an engineered sensor mount designed for the direct integration of measurement instrumentation into metric piping networks. Rated at PN16, this specialized inline fitting combines chlorinated polyvinyl chloride solvent cement socket ends with a central body and union nuts manufactured from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). The true-union assembly enables swift mechanical decoupling for sensor maintenance, calibration, or replacement without disrupting adjacent pipe runs. The integrated 1 1/4" NPSM threaded connection guarantees precise insertion depth and orientation for compatible Georg Fischer Signet sensors across metric diameters from d20 mm to d63 mm.

Engineered for demanding industrial process lines, the Type 310 fitting provides superior thermal stability and chemical resistance compared to conventional vinyl polymers. The PVC-C fusion ends ensure reliable solvent-welded joints in hot corrosive lines, while the high-purity PVDF central component resists severe chemical degradation from aggressive acids, bases, and oxidizing media. System integrity is ensured by interchangeable high-performance EPDM or FKM elastomeric seals, allowing engineers to match the fitting directly to the chemical properties and temperature profile of the process liquid under continuous pressures up to 16 bar at 20 degrees Celsius.

The standardized 1 1/4" NPSM interface provides native compatibility with Georg Fischer Signet flow sensors, including paddlewheel models 515, 2536, and 2537, magnetic flow meters 2551, and integral sensor units 8510 and 8512. It also accommodates Signet pH and ORP electrodes, including types 2724, 2725, 2726, 2734, 2735, and 2736. By ensuring exact sensor positioning and hydrodynamic stability within the stream, the fitting prevents measurement errors and excessive turbulence.
